ICANN and ISC support payments

В декабре 2009 года произошли два важных события - платежи (денежные пожертвования) для поддержания функционирования UA ccTLD.

Первый из них был сделан корпорации ICANN в соответствии с обменом письмами от сентября 2009 года.

Второй - ISC (Internet Systems Consortium) -- организации, предоставляющей услугу серверов DNS для домена UA и некоторых публичных доменов второго уровня (в частности, COM.UA) и разработчика кода DNS-сервера BIND (в частности, проекта BIND10).

Детали будут добавлены по мере публикации на сайтах этих компаний.
ISC обновили; ICANN ожидается.

Declaration of Public Domain Administrators

Першого грудня була опублікована декларація адміністраторів публичних доменів домену UA, до якої приєднуюсь. Нижче наведений її переклад англійскою мовою:

We, administrators of second-level public domains in the .UA domain and the administrator of .UA domain,
in full awareness of our responsibility to the Internet community for the proper operation
of the .UA domain as a wholeand second-level public domains in the .UA domain in particular,
with a view to continue fulfilling our duties on administering public domains in a proper manner,
and taking guidance from:
- existing standards and best practices of the Internet;
- recommendations of ICANN and CENTR;
- valid rules of .UA
hereby declare our intention to unite efforts in order to ensure a more efficient development of the .UA top-level domain.

The signing of the present Declaration shall confirm:

- On the part of second-level public domain administrators, understanding of the urgent need to:
- formalize relations between the .UA domain administrator and administrators of second-level public domains,
as a prerequisite for the proper operation of the .UA domain;
- harmonize rules of the existing second-level public domains with those of the .UA domain;

- On the part of the .UA domain administrator:
- the right for the administration of second-level public domains for all public domain administrators signatory hereto;
- obligation to amend rules of the .UA domain only subject to approval by administrators of public domains signatory hereto;

- Intention to create a union of second-level public domain administrators and the .UA administrator with a view to:
- implement the items stated above;
- provide mutual technical, consulting, organizational, and methodological assistance on domain administration issues.

This Declaration shall be open for signature by public domain administrators in the .UA domain.

В DNS-зоне UA запущен новый сервер имен YA1.NS.UA

В DNS-зоне UA запущен новый сервер имен YA1.NS.UA. Сервер поддерживает протоколы IPv4 и IPv6. Сервер принадлежит и обслуживается ООО Хостмастер, а размещен в компании Топ НЕТ (topnet.ua).

Убраны сервера имен ns.lucky.net и ns2.nic.fr, которые использовались на протяжении многих лет.

Изменен официальный адрес сервера WHOIS - теперь это WHOIS.UA ; старый адрес whois.net.ua пока поддерживается, но не является гарантированным.
